Not sure it was the or not, but a band also “played” songs at the Crunchies back in January with their iPhones!
I few months back, I went to see Ratatat in concert. The opening artist came out with a Wii controller. He used the controller’s accelerometer to alter the sound that his synth was producing. Admittedly, it didn’t sound good at all, but was definitely fun and interesting to watch. I’m fairly sure the iPod or iPhone could do this much easier with the right apps, and I would expect these electronica artists to be the first to implement it.
I don’t think Kraftwerk have too much to worry about.The iPhone’s versatility combined with developers’ creativity is a truly potent combination.Remarkable.

Quite a unique way to put the iPhone and it’s apps to use. This definitely shows some possibilities for built in features the next iPhone /iPod may possess and how the consumer plays a crucial role in the evolution of a product.
The funny thing is that the people who will put in the “10,000 hours” to make this sound better are probably software engineers, not the players themselves.Of course, when both parties put in their time…

“to where I am not sure…”?…to a place where ‘audiences’ (will there be such a thing for these ‘performances’?) will no doubt fall over dead from mind-numbing boredom
Don’t be so sure about that. Its all about the entertainer not the instrument
