Neighborhood News
I just added the outside.in neighborhood news widget to this blog. It's on the right sidebar above my books widget. It's focused on news about the Union Square/Flatiron district. It looks like this:
If you are a placeblogger and want to show headlines from around the web about the place you live and/or write about, get the widget here.
It's cool that the Gotham Gal gets a link in there for her Sapa post.

It doesn't look in the correct place on mine (IE and Firefox on PC). Its just to the right of the left hand column and its probably why the pages are even slooooower to load. Does the page need another widget?

Oops! I see what you meant, you might want to delete my comment! But the pages are sloooow

the pages load slowly because of all the stuff i have in my sidebars. it's certainly not outsie.in's fault.

This would seem to be for selected urban centers only. I am in London UK. I cannot even enter the postcode. I enter zip for friend in Moorpark (just N of LA), last news Jan 07. Well, maybe it is sleepy in LA, but not that sleepy!

Kinda lame that the latest news in the Flatiron district is from 6 days ago.
