New Music Of The Day
My friend David came in yesterday and showed me the cool web service he's building to bring live music to the masses called Baeble Music. Check it out.
The band he showed me is called Mando Diao and I've been listening non stop ever since.
Here's a song called Long Before Rock and Roll off the new Ode To Ochrasy record

Fred:
Baeble Music has been a heavy advertiser on last.fm for a while now, but they need to do a better job explaining who/what they are - even when I accidentally clicked on the ad and heard new, cool music I liked, I still didn't know what Baeble was and had forgotten about it until your post. If your friend David wants to use me as a "focus group of one", let me know.

Fred, In light of this post and your passion for live music, I think you and your readers might be interested to know of CONCERT.TV, an on demand television network dedicated to music performance and lifestyle programming. The network is available in over 17MM digital cable homes in every major market but NYC and LA (our apologies; rest assured, we're working on it). While the CONCERT.TV broadband presence will relaunch at summer's end as a full-featured video site, some of our programming (including the recently launched CONCERT.TV News) can currently be viewed at www.concert.tv.

Fred -- slightly off topic, but thanks for the tip on Voxtrot and for turning me on to The National. Both great bands.
