My Pebble Beach Slide

I've been meaning to check out Slide. It's been a while since I've played around with it. And I've been seeing big numbers for their photo widgets and I want to understand why.

I finally uploaded some of my Pebble Beach photos to Flickr (I was there for a couple days early last week).

And there was one sequence that was just dying to be turned into a slide show. On the 10th hole (the last of the water holes heading out to Carmel), I overclubbed and ended up with this ridiculous lie in between the back bunker and the fescue.

Here's what ensued (~thirty seconds long).

For those not intimately familiar with life in a bunker, that last shot was the next shot I had to hit after the first shot went about four feet.

You have found my envy bone sir... Playing PB is a life long dream for me. My mom's side of the family is from Monterey and I've only had the pleasure of walking around, observing (lots of drooling), and spending $100 in the pro shop.

Keeping me grounded is the thought that in four weeks time I will be moving to our new home within eye shot of my home course's club house. I know you love Manhattan and all, but playing early morning rounds and having the rest of the day to do stuff is as close to heaven as I may ever get.

BTW, It would have taken me at least two to get out of that spot too.

I've seen that big swing out of a bunker live, and for those that don't know it, Fred is a great sand player and all-around trick shot artist. He can bend it around a tree like nobody else or hit a low cut through branches. Oh, and he has the BEST caddy-eye of anyone I've ever played with. No lost balls when playing in a foursome with Fred. Viva the steambox at Pinehurst!

A very nice tool, thanks!

BTW, what did you shoot?

speaking of slideshow widget space... Do you track RockYou? Saw this over at paidcontent.org today "Over 150 million widget views per day to over 200 countries."

Nice out Fred.

If you're into widgets and golf, you can head over to loopr.com and post the details of your round. Use the scorecard widget to display it on your blog.

You weren't wearing the Tiger Red? WTH?

Nice shot!

Slideshow doesn't want to play inside the google reader?

Out of curiousity do you have any comment on imeem?

That cameraman had balls. Obviously a huge zoom or never played with you before.
