The National
One of the best new bands working is The National, from Brooklyn, NY (home of so many great bands these days).

In case you want to experience more of this music live and in person, they are playing four shows at Bowery Ballroom from May 28th to May 31st.
I hope to go to one of them.


Great, great band. But give Cincinnati the little due it deserves -- that's where the bulk of the band is from. Brooklyn just happens to be the "melting pot" where most transplant musicians in NY can afford to live these days..
