Scrobbling Video
So this very morning, I am thinking that all the Cortez videos I've watched in the past three days won't show up in last.fm. And how I wish they would.
And then I came across this piece from The Register that suggests that last.fm is working on scrobbling video as well as audio. Awesome.

Imagine 'scrobbling' all of the content you found interesting across ALL of the social networks you're on.

Last.fm is doing all of the right things to continue its growth. I applaud them and rave about them to anyone I can!

I like it, but ipod sync is labor-intensive and dicey. The timestamp restrictions really kill my use of it for anything but playing music on my main laptop.

Is there some kind of standardized tag for video? Something analagous to the ID3 tags in MP3 files?

Not exactly what you are looking for, but check out the interesting mashup, LastTV.net. It does the flip of what you are looking for, it pulls your Last.FM account and then programs a virtual music video channel based on what you listen to.
Personalized MTV.... except is actually plays music videos. :-)
