Shattered In Detroit
Tom Watson's comment about "rats on the westside" prompted me to add Shattered to the end of my rat row post this morning. If yesterday was M Ward day on this blog, today is Some Girls day because I just got an email from Wolfgang's Vault alerting me to a Rolling Stones show at Detroit's Masonic Hall in July 1978 on the Some Girls tour.
Killer version of Miss You.

Wow! Talk about bringing back memories. I grew up in suburban Detroit (in a safe area not affected by the urban plight that existed in the inner city back then, as it still does today). I had just turned eighteen when I attended this very concert! Saw a lot of others at the Masonic as well, early Aerosmith, etc., and saw Led Zep at Cobo Hall!
Thanks for a great "blast from the past"!

If you're a Bruce fan (I know that you are), check out the 12/15/78 show at Winterland on Wolfgang's Vault. Unbelievable. Many tunes from the Darkness album. It's regularly mentioned as one of the best Bruce shows ever.
