Aspen

Jason enjoys the snow, Highlands Bowl
Originally uploaded by www.odysseyexpeditions.org.
We're in Aspen this weekend and woke up to about a foot of new snow.

Should be a great day.

We are headed to Highlands and I hope to hike the bowl and ski it if the wind and snow aren't blowing too hard.

Lucky you Fred, i'm in the Swiss/French Alps and all we are getting is rain! no snow below 1700metres now :-(

Excellent! Just got back from Snowmas. Didn't get to take too much advantage of the Highlands, but caught some fresh on the bowls at Snowmas.

good call on Highlands. It's my favorite mountain in my home state, but you definitely have to be in "Highlands Mode" to enjoy it. If you want to cruise, then this is not your place. But for vertical and just laid-back awesomeness, Highlands it is!

Have you ever hit A-Basin? It's a good one, too.

Explain this 'snow' you speak of.....sounds like a strange phenomenon.
