Jets, Jets, Jets
I was wrong about my hedge on Eric Mangini. He's the real deal.
As you may know by now, Mangini took the Jets up to his old stomping grounds, Foxboro, and beat his former team today.
How sweet it is to be a Jet fan today!

Not having Rodney Harrison really hurts the Pats.
No matter, the Jets will blow it before January while the Patriots are in the playoffs.
After all, they're the Jets.

As much as it pains me, congrats to Fred Wilson, Eric Mangini and the J-E-T-S. The Pats lost and I'm taking it like a man. Should be fun listening to WEEI radio in Boston tomorrow. Not!
Let's hope the Pats get a chance for redemption in the playoffs.

I am so disgusted with my Pats.
I'll give the Jets credit because they won, but Mangini is not the real deal.
I know you are not convinced that he is just yet.
The Pats will not win until both starting safeties( Wilson/Harrison are on the field again.

J-E-T-S! Always love an opportunity to see the JETS beat the ol' Pats. Hopefully they can get some momentum for the rest of season!

I've been saying this for four seasons now, and it's apparent that I'm right, the Pats are the NFL wing of the GOP, and like the rest of those bastards, they are going down.
Jets doubters, you'll be the first to feel the pain, we will show no mercy.

Great win for the Jets - loved the quick kick call, and those are big-play receivers.
And a horrible loss for the Pats - second in a row at home, in the conference. They look lost on offense. But something tells me that they'll get it straightened out by the time they get to Lambeau.
And Erik, don't expect to see Rodney Harrison playing again. Broken shoulder blades are really tough to come back from, particularly at his age. Leroy Butler had one in GB and that was the end.

The JETS decided to show up this week. It always seems like they prefer havign drama rather than going out and dominating in the first quarter Pennington's arm yesterday looked great. Now if they can just handle teh otehr teams on teh schedule with such finesse and ingenuity. Imagine if we had a top tier back as well where we would be? I think the Jets have adopted the style of not supporting just one back ala the Patriots and potentially the competition and diversification can only add to their offense. Poor old what's his name on the Raiders. Bet he wishes he didn't make a run for the money.

Here come the Chicago Bears.
Wait, I'm, sorry. Here come the Chicago Urlachers.
Here in Chicago, everyone wears Urlacher football jerseys. I have been going to the Chicago Bear Fan convention, and there are so many people wearing the 54 jersey, that I now refer to the convention as the Urlacher Family Reunion.
It will be nice to see jerseys other than Urlacher around Chicagoland this year.

This was a great win. I told everyone last year that we really weren't that bad - it helps actually having a QB. I loved the draft (as a former lineman myself), and Mangini gives us hope. I feel like this team is scrappy and will find ways to win, while under Herm it was more pessimistic.
I'm in law school with one of the Jets spokeswoman and she loves Mangini - she said he obviously wasn't as eloquent as Herm with the media, but the organization itself is run much better with him at the helm.
It's good to be a Jet fan. It would be even better if we can do what the Giants couldn't - beat the Bears! Washington could have a big day running on the edges, where the Bears seem to be vulnerable.
(I'll be at the Houston game the following weekend if anyone wants to tailgate or something)

Have you noticed that Chad Pennington looks exactly like Hermie the Elf from Rudolph? seriously. Look at the picture - http://pigletoffire.blogspot.com
