What We Look For
Brad wrote a series of posts on the Union Square Ventures weblog last month about what we look for in deals.
They were great and the've inspired me to add my two cents. Here's the opening post in my series.
If you want to follow along as I write these posts, the best way to do that is subscribe to the Union Square Ventures weblog feed.

I'm writing you because BeerCo Corp is selling phpmail.com and the master software license + trademark in an ebay option.
Currently it pulls in about 1-2k per month, but if you put some money behind it, it could easily pull in a million.
I am taking 6-8 months off to write a new software compiler and I don't want to do customer support with these people anymore.

Kiko.com went for 1/4 M with no revenue what so ever. This is a selling commercial product with hundreds of customers.
I emailed other wealthy VC people. I hope you all have a last minute bidding war! ;)
I did the phpmail thing for so long, I'm sick of it, and I want to take our company to a new direction with Linux systems.
If you get win for under 100k, consider yourself very lucky.
Take Care!
