Song of the Day - Have A Little Faith In Me

This is one of the greatest songs ever written. It never fails to get me choked up. I heard it on my friend Fred's 20th Century Fire Sale double CD collection (if you had to grab two CDs of music to take into the 20th Century, what would you choose?). Well Fred I totally agree on this song.

Like all great songs, this one's been covered by quite a few artists over the years. I am particularly fond of this cover by Delbert McClinton.

You're right--it's a very well covered song. My friend Goh Nakamura does a great acoustic cover in which he loops his girlfriend's vocals to create a faux choir.

You can listen to it on his myspace:

You can check out the liner notes behind his cover here:

Since you're a fellow Hiatt fan, I thought I'd point you to the fine music from Goner Sonn Landreth, in case you haven't checked him out yet. The man is one with the slide.

It's on this site, today (5/1/07) that I first heard this song in its entirety. Only snippets until now. Thank you for uploading one of the most incredibly beautiful songs I've ever heard.

I have recently disovered a sensonational verison of HALFIM from the jazz artist Solveig Slettahjell on her PIXIDUST album.

I love this song. It is significant to me because my ex-husband and I are trying to mend old wounds and give it another try. If not for love and faith, nothing would be possible.
