The Great Lake Swimmers
There are a bunch of people who send me music suggestions and often I send them back stuff. This blog has facilitated that and its one of the main reasons I love to blog. Almost all of these people are individuals I've never met but I feel like I know them and I certainly consider them my friends.
But there is one guy who always seems to nail it. His name is Raj Bala and he's done it again.
In Raj's Top 10 list from 2005, he has Bodies and Minds from Great Lake Swimmers as number four, after M. Ward, Rogue Wave, and Bloc Party (all records I love). So I figured I'd check them out.
Great stuff. The first five songs in particular are just awesome. I've been listening non stop for days.

i just googled. you dont appear to have talked about the Kaiser Chiefs? Definitely one of the best bands to emerge out of the UK in a long time. Employment is an awesome album. I predict a riot.
I dont know where you will go to get these downloads now. ironically i dont think they are on emusic. but i am sure you would enjoy the band.
