Lying

Guy Kawasaki has posted a list of the Top 10 (nine actually) Lies of Venture Capitalists.

I am certain that there are plenty of VCs who say these things without meaning them.

But I don't. 

And I have said number 4, number 5, number 6, number 7, and number 9 many times.

And I am pretty confident that nobody is calling me a liar on any of them.

I think Guy wrote something a while back about the top lies a startup uses when pitching to a VC and I'm sure I've been guilty of some of those, but not because I was trying to lie to someone, it's just the nuances of vc/startup game.

Thanks for this. I was starting to get cynical about all the advice. We're going for money in Europe in a couple of weeks and things like this aren't making me happier about the prospect :)
