The Singing Business Plan
There's always a first. Today I got a business plan delivered by a singing delivery man.
Charlie caught it on video and blogged it.

Very funny...surprised it hasn't happened already.

Fred,
I noticed your RSS feed lately has been flagging all your posts as new each time a new one comes out. just thought you might want to monitor your feed to see for yourself. i use bloglines and it only started occurring within the last couple days- not sure what might have changed.
cheers

This is absolutely outstanding.

Very cute. My sister-in-law hired someone to do that when delivering wedding invitations. This is even a better idea. People are very innovative from Massachusetts.

This is impressive. Entrepreneurs take note. If you believe in what you're doing (as this creative person obviously does) you should always put yourself out there. You have about 10 seconds to make an impression. He did just that. This is very intersting. Outstanding. I will be bringing this up in my next business class. My students need to see this side of business.

Great post. I've always wondered if something like this has happened. Well, it has now. So who wants to bet someone tries to top it with a strippogram? As far as marketing goes, I'll always remember plugstar as the company who sent the creative VC proposal. Take care.

That is a great move and a great video. And very gracious of you to say "thank you," too. Awesome.

I'm impressed. Fred, it must feel great. To think, this person picked you out of all the VC's in the US. This is not something you can do more than once. I don't even think it can be done ever again. After, checking out plugstar I think I understand why you were the chosen one. This is so you.
The only thing that sinks about being on the receiving end of this is that you will never forget this company. Even worse, if you pass him up and he pitches another VC and they hit the jack pot with this creative fireball you will cringe everytime you hear about them.
I look forward to following this. Let us know what happens.

Until I saw this I thought I was agressive. I\'m proud to say I\'m from Boston.
If you pass his proposal up for whatever reason I say you send the plan to someone who you think would be interested. This is a lot of effort for something that will most likely never be read.
I give this kid props. I\'m sure we will be hearing about him in the future.
Go Boston!

So is this what a 'podcast' looks like?
(Or is this just a video uploaded online...)
[I need to figure out this 'podcasting' thing... But that will have to wait, till at least after Finals Week.]

Wonder when this stuff will make the "In Heavy Rotation List" ... then we'll know singing business plans have gone mainstream ...

Fred,
I hope my my pitch goes as well as that one.
One Number Corporation is a startup offering a communication encapsulation service. We have filed for patent protection on our core processing technology and have a network covering 85% of the major markets. The service will ring all of a subscriber's phones simultaneously and gives the subscriber ultimate call control. Our platform will ultimately fill the need of VOIP virtual last mile giving users the enhanced services and call control over any tradtional wire or cell phone. We feel the service has both residential and business applications.
We would like to launch our service on the tails of a 50,000 account donation to the U.S. 3rd Army's deployed troops. I truely believe the service will reduce the stress of the soldier and stateside party. Please review our 1 page presentation to the strategic planning division of MWR in the U.S. Army at http://www.1num.com/1NumReachHomefortheMilitary.pdf .
Please review a one page executive summary at http://www.1num.com/1Num_Technologies_Executive_Summary.pdf . If you are interested in learning more about One Number Corporation please contact me at 317.489.6150 or [email protected] I will be happy to forward a PPM to you or schedule a presentation.

I have two things I want to say:
First: The plugstar.com business plan delivery was great and certainly grabbed my attention. It's nice to see someone go to the extreme to get someones attention. I'm rooting for them!
Secondly: To the person above my comment from One Number Corp - What the hell are you thinking? Why are you pitching a VC in the comment section? You will never find partners with this approach. Is this how you want your company remembered? I wouldn't wait by the phone!

To John:
It is funny how you can applaud 1 pitch for going to extremes and then be appalled at another going to extremes. If you didn't know Fred has Comment Spam/Link Spam as an axis of evil. Could my pitch be considered Spam? 'Yes'. Could it be an opportunity to pitch on the heels of a post about 'The Singing Business Plan". Yes!
I am a passionate entrapaneur with a technology that will be rolled into the dialect of Americans.
You tell me in 5 months that you don't remember 1Num when you read about the 50,000 accounts that were donated to the U.S. Third Army's deployed troops.
Tell me in 3 years that you don't remember 1Num when you read about the sheer scope of our product and platform.
I have a the pieces in place to succeed. I only need an audience to pitch if interested please contact me. I think you would be the yin of my yang.
Thanks,
Brandon
