Number 9 was good, but 10 is the bomb!

Loved that book, Fred -- you just get lost in it.
Another thing I recommend you do while in Thailand is to go see Muay Thai boxing at one of the evening venues -- when we stayed in Ao Nang (close to Krabi), we hopped in the back one of the trucks driving through town at night, loudly promoting Muay Thai. Eventually, with about 20 tourists, we were trucked to the country, piled out of the truck, and my wife and I paid the exorbitant fee of ~$20 to "sit ringside". It was awesome! They placed us in La-Z-Boys right against the ring canvas, brought us beers, and we watched 6-7 bouts while talking with the judges of the bouts, who told us what they were seeing. Much better than scripted entertainment we see back home. And, the athletes were absolutely amazing.
Also, if you haven't been to Railay beach, we highly recommend that you take a day and go explore -- lots of fun.

If you like Chabon's Kavalier & Clay, check out something by Neal Stephenson...Cryptonomicon (very long), Snow Crash (I preferred it)...solid writing, entertaining and you learn something--the perfect combo.

Damn...... I'm jealous. I never got to go to Krabi while I was there. I was partying too much in Bangkok.
Might be time to take another vacation soon! :)

Just got back from Phuket. Gorgeous, gorgeous place. Didn't make it out to Krabi, will have to save it for next time :)
