The Power of RSS
I added Google ads to my feed (via Feedburner) at the beginning of the month.
One great thing about Google Adense is their stats are as good as anyone's these days.
So look what happened to the number of pageviews my Google ads are getting since June 1st.
Page views jumped about 3x since June 1st.
And I am only running Google ads in my Feedburner feed, which makes up about 1/3 of my total feeds. Imagine if I were able to turn on Google ads in all my feeds. I'd be serving something like 15,000 Google ads a day.
Now, the interesting thing is that my dollars per day have not increased very much, if at all, which indicates that very few people are clicking on the ads in my feeds. Google doesn't yet break out the ads by where they are run so I can't see exactly how the web is performing vs the feed, but its pretty clear that the web is peforming a lot better.
If you read the google adsense instructions, you can set up "channels" to track performance in different parts of your site/feeds. I use it based on the text of the URL, since my site is structured that way. But I think there is also a way to put channel codes in the adsense javascript that let you track channels that aren't necessarily distinguished by URLs.

Your feed seems to have the same ad for every entry (with a couple of exceptions), which I imagine would greatly reduce your clickthrough rate.
I've had the same problem with Google ads. Keyword targeted advertising seems to mean picking a simplistic irrelevant theme (blogs always have ads about blogs and RSS readers) and showing the same 2 or 3 ads over and over.

I've noticed the same thing and I wonder how viable RSS ads are. I see very little click through...I'm just not sure if the delivery method, and audiece, is right for clickthough.

I applied a week ago but haven't even received a confirmation of receipt yet.

Fred, i think that x3 is just RSS agents fetching feed every 5-60 min.

RSS feeds are new medium and ads in feeds need to adopt to the medium. Putting an ad on every feed item is not going to work. We created best practices for RSS advertising based on our 2 years of serving ads in feeds - http://www.pheedo.info/archives/000256.html

Max - what you said makes sense at first blush, but it's not right.
Google will only record a page view when the ad is actually viewed, which is to say that there was a browser/reader request for the image. That happens when there's a set of eyeballs actually looking at the rendered version of the feed, not when the rss agent retrieves the feed.
Put it this way. Bloglines might request your feed on behalf of 500 subscribers, but just requesting the feed doesn't result in the image being rendered. It's only when a subscriber goes and looks at your feed in Bloglines that the HTML associated with your item is rendered and the image request is made: at that time, the subscriber will contribute one page view per ad currently displayed with your feed.
