Rhapsody Playlist of the Week
I am going to start a new weekly blog post.
I think sharing playlists you can listen to without having to purchase the songs is a great thing.
I've tried a bunch of ways to do this and so far, I think sharing Rhapsody playlists is the best way.
I know most of my readers don't have Rhapsody, but for those who do, I am going to publish a weekly list of songs that are in heavy rotation in our house.
Here's my first playlist.
It starts out with Sweet Transvestite from Rocky Horror Picture Show because Jessica is singing that song in the middle school play this weekend.
I hope you like it!
1. Sweet Transvestite - Richard O'Brien
2. Close I've Come - Ben Lee
3. Hear Me Out - Ben Kweller
4. Anyways All Right - Paul Westerberg
5. Railroad Man - Eels
6. Jesus Was An Only Son - Bruce Springsteen
7. Good People - Jack Johnson
8. Girl - Beck
9. Peace Officer - Jimmy Cliff
10. Hate It Or Love It - The Game

Fred, great taste in music. Many of them are on my Rio. Hate It or Love It is 50 Cent, not the Game.
Check out some of the others on my Rio: Running up that Hill (Kate Bush), Hold Tight London & Vanilla Sky (Chemical Brothers), Stay Positive (The Streets), That Dress Looks Nice on You (Sufjan Stevens), Lyla (Oasis), No More Heroes (The Stranglers), Bottle Rocket (The Go! Team), Us (Regina Spektor), Feel Good Inc (The Gorillaz), Everybody's Changing (Keane), Dakota (Stereophonics), First Day of My Life (Bright Eyes), and Wires (Athlete).
That's all you get. ;-)
If you're into music, check out Virgin Radio - streaming live at www.virginradio.co.uk.

Nice, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one enamored with playlist (and recently played) sharing. I've been able to take a more passive approach with the MusicNow service... with a little javascript cut-and-paste, my recently played list will update after each song is completed.
I also spend a lot of time talking about happenings in the digital media/music world, feel free to swing by (http://globallistic.blogspot.com)!

I thought I'd just follow the herd and put a link to my site up here.. If you are interested, I have several methods of accessing music videos on youtube, and I have links to rhapsody playlists, about 618 so far, including the top 100 hits of every year from 1973 to 1993 (the focus is mainly non-rap groups, I hate rap, so if you are looking for rap, you will at best find beck on my site). My primary focus is years 1977 to 1983.. But I like recent music (when it's good: Daft Punk, Jamiroquai, Basement Jaxx, etc..).
BTW- I lived in New York for a couple of years during the dot-com boom/bust, so I'm familiar with VC's too.. I was one of the first 9 of a 24 million funded dot-com.
