Technorati (continued)
Last week I posted my frustration with Technorati.
I mentioned two big issues, link count wasn't working, and my own posts were coming up in my results.
Sometime in the past week, they fixed both issues.
I don't know if they fixed the service or just fixed my results, but now I have "546 links from 365 sources" and none of them are my own posts.
I still have my concerns about Technorati, but this is a great step in the right direction. I'll be watching closely to see if link count is fixed for good.

Fred,
Fingers crossed, we think we got the link count bug fixed, or at least significantly ameliorated. Your link counts should be substantially correct (substantially correct meaning that we cache the correct link count for 24 hours, so at worst your data will be 24 hours old).
Please let me know if you notice any other anomolies - my direct number is 415 846-0232 or you can contact me at dsifry at technorati dot com...

My blog is in a somewhat similar position. Technorati's cosmos showed some 60 links from 50 something sources, then a few weeks ago (about the same time Fred observed the anomaly of his blog) constantly showed 20 from 18 sources, even though I know for a fact that the blog is linked far more than that.
Now, as far as I understand this may also have something with the fact that I am using a weblog tool that is home-made so to speak, so it may not be spidered as often than the ones from major companies such as 6A. But that's just a speculation, I have no clue.
Considering that allegedly the bugs are fixewd and that my old ranking is not similar to the old one, question is which ranking is relevant?
