Street Cleaning/Parking in NYC
I saw this scene on the way to work this morning and I had to shoot it and blog it.
The street cleaner is driving up the left side of the street, cleaning it.
The cars that were parked in front of it are moving aside to let it by and then angling to back right in behind it.
Such is the life of a "opposite side of the street" parker in NYC.
You'll also notice a garbage truck up ahead of this mess causing even more congestion on 10th Street this morning.

Well, at least you live in a city that has a 311 system! We're working with a bunch of cities right now putting in place online and telephone systems so when people see what you saw, they can fire in their complaint. Obviously, this street cleaning technique makes no sense!

This makes evan less sense to me. We live on Thompson St. & every time after they clean the streets you see people waiting in their cars for two hours so not to get a ticket. We park 8 blocks away for about 200 a month. Are the people doing this saying their time is only worth 5 bucks an hour, I don't get it.
