Allen Iverson
I grew up a Georgetown basketball fan. My mom turned me onto Georgetown basketball and I watched most of their games during the Patrick Ewing, Alonzo Mourning, and Dikembe Mutombo years. Although Patrick is and always will be my favorite Georgetown player, I also love the little guy Allen Iverson.
The first time I saw him dribble the ball as a freshman at Georgetown I was hooked. He is simply one of the most enjoyable basketball players to watch. He is tiny and yet he never fails to take it right at the biggest and strongest players in the game with an fearlessness that you have to admire.
Last night we took our kids down to Denver to see the NBA All-Star game. It was a blast. The east finally had a team that could compete with Iverson, Shaq, LeBron, Duane Wade, and a host of other great players.
We got there an hour before the start and got to watch these huge stars playing around with each other in warmups. Shaq and Iverson must be good friends because they were having a great time with each other.
The game itself was like all NBA All-Star games, pure showtime. There were alley-oops and dunks, big time three point shooting, and very little defense. The game was close most of the way, but the east pulled away in the end to win 125-115.
And the MVP? None other than the little guy, Allen Iverson, who did everything for the east and deserved it.
It made for a great ending for a great night.
I was so happy to be there to witness it.

You can probably guess how I feel about Georgetown, Iverson, Ewing, et al. The real question is: how did Carmelo Anthony look?

I love Allen Iverson and he is my favorite basketyball player besides Patric Edwing from Georgetown.

AI you need to start and win out there. I know you guys can pull off the playoffs and make it to the finals. You just have to play and earn your win like a team. Remember team work wins games not just one player. Just think about it if you really see this. I dont need to talk to you i was there when you had 60 pts against Magic. you played great. I love Bubba Chuck(a.i.) so much. I wish I could meet him. Maybe I can do so All Star 2005 in Houston. I'm planning on going down there. I just wanted to let him know that I have actually cried when the Sixers would lose thank God I don't do that anymore. Love always your true #1 fan

I have been watching The Answer for over 6 years now and he is still my favorite NBA balla. Even with all the new talent coming into the nba such as Lebron James, Dwyane Wade, and Amare Stoudire. I like all three of them but they will never ever take the place of my man The Answer!

I am one of ALLEN IVERSON biggest fans and i love him so much I think that he is the best basketball payer today and noone can compete with his skills. For Lebron James, Dwayne Wade and Carmelo Anthony you all are last in line because the answer is first.

I have been searching all over ,to find out how i can write allen iverson i amm inlove with his attitude his game, i like that he is always himself wheather recievivng negative publicity or positive. i think is is the nastiest player out there . carmelo anthony is good but not a question for the answer. i dont like lebron james i think he is straight garbage. allen iverson is out of alot of these basketball players league. he got everything you can ever want in a basket ball player from what i have seen attitude, sex apeal , drive, strenth, abilitly, talent, good person.. I mean i dont know him personaly , but this is what i see as a fan who reads and wathches all his games 0-3 allen you can bounce back from, sometimes i feel for you cause i dont think you get the help from your team i am one of your biggest fan, it would be nice to here from you.
