Cape Town
As I said in my Getting Here post, Cape Town is the most beautiful city I've ever been to.
And yes Helmar, we are staying right up the street from Sandbar and enjoying the sights and sounds of Cafe Caprice.
We are staying in Camps Bay which is just over Lions Head from the city proper. I like to think of Camps Bay as Cape Town's answer to Copacobana.
Just as Rio has the mountains and the sea, so does Cape Town. Here in Camps Bay, the mountains you see are called the Twelve Apostles. This is a picture of them from the beach in Camps Bay.
But probably the most spectacular mountain is the one that sits right over Cape Town called Table Mountain. No picture can do it justice, but here is my attempt anyway.

Quick tip: even if your camera doesn't want you to, turn on the flash when you do shots like the first. The camera thinks there is enough light (because of the bright background (sky)), but that usually underexposes the faces in the foreground. Same on the Cape Point group shot. They look much better with light on the face.
If you feel ambitious and it's not too windy, take your hiking boots and walk up Lion's Head. Takes you a leisurely hour max, but from there you have an awesome 360° view. Leave it for last, because it's better when the moon is bright, and it's waxing right now.
If you want to sit right on the water's edge (and there aren't many places in CT that allow you to do that), go to the Radisson Hotel on the way to the Waterfront. Great place to sit outdoors and enjoy a drink.
If you like wine, you have to go to "The Nose Wine Bar" at the Cape Quarter off Dixon Street in Green Point/De Waterkant. The Cape Quarter is worth a trip anyway.
For a rather cool evening experience, go to the Po Na Na Bar (the kids will love it too!) at Strega Restaurant in Heritage Square off Buitengracht.
Nice fish? Panama Jacks at the harbour!
Ahh... there is soooo much more. I could go on and on... :))

Thank you in beforehand.
