Voting 2004: My Votes
It's not the best picture, but here are my votes right before the girls pulled the lever.
I wanted to get that visceral satisfaction of pulling the lever, but I am satisfied enough. I've registered my opinion along with what will surely be a huge number of voters today.
In case you can't read the photo, I went with Kerry/Edwards for President, Chuck Schumer for Senator, and I split my judge votes, three Republican, two Democratic. The only other contested races were Congressman and State Senator and I went for the incumbents, Nadler and Duane, whom I like.

Cool - a real voting machine. I live in Illinois, and voting here is like taking the SAT. You fill in the oval for your candidate. I voted for the first time in the 76 Carter election in New York on an old time voting machine (pull the giant handle and the gears turn and the curtain opens), I miss that visceral feeling of having done my democratic duty. When I turned mine in this morning, it felt more like I was waiting to see the grade -- well I guess in a way we all are. -- Jordan

I got to pull the lever, it felt good. Better in fact than the last time. Kerry has more of a chance than Fritz and Tits did.
