"Seen Your Video, We Don't Want To Know" - The Replacements
There's a lot of people who don't want to know what its like to be poor and at war in this country, including our chicken hawk, draft dodging president.
If you do want to know, go watch Eminen's new video - Mosh.
I love this guy and his music. And he makes a powerful statement about the importance of voting. Regardless of the failings of our democracy, the ability of an artist to make something like this that is so critical of our president is a testament to the wisdom of our founding fathers.
Thanks to the Gotham Gal for pointing this one out to me.

From one Fred to another, I think if you're going to call someone a chickenhawk, you should have military experience. Do you? Frank Lautenberg called Bush a chickenhawk. That's fine. He served.
But Eminem? Come on, man. I mean, I like that sonng where he mixed in some Dido as much as the next 30something year old man looking for spank bait, but Eminem just plain sucks. Plus, he's a homophobe. And no, I never, ever liked Vanilla Ice.
Franz Ferdinand, though -- yeah. Dig 'em.

"I think if you're going to call someone a chickenhawk, you should have military experience."
So if you are going to call someone a liar, should you be one? (etc etc etc etc).
An argument can certainly be made that even with the Mosh video, Eminem has does more harm than good (homophobic and misogynistic messages). Just because he's against something I am against, doesn't mean I like him, especially when the video concept was created w/o him in mind at all.

M M,
Not sure that's such a good analogy. That would be like saying: The only people who can judge others to be chickenhawks are chickenhawks themselves.
Anyways, I would never have called Bill Clinton a chickenhawk over Kosovo, and I doubt that you or Eminem or anyone else who plans to vote for Kerry would have made the same accusations, were he the one to invade Iraq.
As far as Bush being a draft dodger, I've no idea how Fred can justify that statement. Or how Terry McAuliffe can, considering that he never served. Or Paul Begala.
This is an ugly election. People throw out words irresponsibly, but and I'm saddened to see some of you participating.

Thankfully there was no draft for Fred to dodge when he came of age. That doesn't exempt G.W. for taking an easy road out, and I don't mean to say that I wouldn't have done something similar, I certainly would have, but I am not, and will never, run for elected office. Other than being a 'chickenshit hawk' he is a liar, a failed buisness man, smug, beholden to the Bin Ladens, stupid, and a doody head.
