Blogging Tools Suck Less
Martin Tobias points out that Blogger has integrated AdSense. I agree that's a no brainer, but still its nice to see relevant ads on Blogspot blogs.
What's more interesting is Martin's view that TypePad will soon follow.
I run AdSense on my TypePad blog, but it was a pain to set it up.
This stuff has got to get integrated. I am glad to see its starting to happen.

I have the impression that there were some strategic consultants that told Google: hey, you shouldn't be a publisher, you're an advertising intermediary. Why are you serving out your own ads on Blogger? You're competing with one half of your customers. Add that to the motivation, that control over the ad by the blogger may actually push CPM and that probably explains the move.
It does not sound great for those weblog hosters who try to finance themselves via some sort of adrevenue model, that's for sure. But unless Blogger internationalizes, it won't really have a widespread effect.
