Sweet Sues
The best pancakes I've ever eaten are at Sweet Sues in Phoenicia, New York. It's near Woodstock, New York.
We go once a year, on our way to visit our kids at camp visiting day.
They make breakfasts of all kinds, but the pancakes are the best I've ever eaten.
My favorite is the buttermilk with blueberries and bananas.
My friend Steven says you have to order the short stack because the regular order of three pancakes is so big nobody can finish it.
He's right. And I forgot his advice yesterday. And this was what was left after I'd eaten all I could.

For my wife and I, it's the "pumpkin seed crusted tofo Reuben sandwich" that makes Sweet Sues a weekly destination. It's probably the best sandwich I've ever had. (Well, perhaps it's a tie with the "Spicy Rizak" at Tiny's Giant Sandwich Shop in the Lower East Side.

The morning glory muffins were my favorite when we visited a few years ago! Visited 2 weeks ago and they seemed too much like carrot cake. maybe no pineapple? But still yummy.
